VMU Miguel de Cervantes Spanish Language and Culture Club invites new members
The VMU Miguel de Cervantes Spanish Language and Culture Club invites new members to join the ranks of the most Spanish organisation in Lithuania. This student organisation at Vytautas Magnus University is looking for motivated and active members who are learning Spanish and who are interested in the cultures of Spanish-speaking countries.
The VMU Spanish Language and Culture Club was founded in 2012 on the initiative of teachers and students at the Institute of Foreign Languages. New members can look forward to evenings of cinema, music and literature from Spanish-speaking countries, discussions on current topics, and traditional dishes. A very important part of the organisation’s activities is the chance to meet friends from Spanish-speaking countries and to become part of a group of like-minded people in Lithuania.
The activities of the Cervantes Club can be described as a “direct ticket” to Spain. Most members go on to study in this sunny country under the Erasmus+ exchange programme. In addition, each year one active member of the organisation is awarded the Prof. Birutė Ciplijauskaitė Scholarship, which allows them to study Spanish at the University of Zaragoza.
Those wishing to join should fill in an online application form. The first meeting will take place on 25 September.
The club has accounts on Facebook and Instagram. For more information, please write to: m.cervantesoklubas@gmail.com.
