The Institute of Foreign Languages received a gift from Spain

The Institute of Foreign Languages received a gift from the Honorary Consulate of Spain in Albacete, Spain.
The books donated by the Honorary Consul of Lithuania, Mr. Andrés Fernés Redondo, with the dedication “to bring the Spanish and Lithuanian languages and cultures closer together,” allow readers to learn more about the Castile-La Mancha region of Spain. The two volumes of Historia taurina de Munera, dedicated by the author Graciano Jiménez Moreno to Vytautas Magnus University, tell the story of bullfighting in the city of Munera from 1913 to 2015.
José Francisco Roldán Pastor’s Memoria para perdonar introduces the history of the gastronomic association Caballeros cofrades El Buen Almuerzo (translated as “Members of the Brotherhood of Good Lunch”). Gastronomic associations are a popular phenomenon in Spain. The purpose of such associations is to support and promote the food culture, products, and traditions of a particular region.
José Francisco Roldán Pastor’s book Don Quijote como víctima de delitos retells the adventures of the famous hidalgo Don Quixote from the perspective of modern criminal law, revealing how many situations that seemed normal at the time would be treated as crimes today.
We would like to thank Honorary Consul Andrés Fernés Redondo for his valuable gift and cooperation in strengthening the ties between the two cultures.
